We're a small team, and we read everything. Here's how to reach us and what we can help with.

Something's not working

In the app: You → Settings → "Something not working? Report a bug". It tells us which screen you were on and your phone model, and nothing you've written. Or email [email protected]. We aim to reply within a few days.

Signing in

• On a new phone, sign in with the email you added in Settings. We'll send you a 6-digit code.
• If you've added a passkey, you can sign in with Face ID or your phone's lock instead.
• Lost access to your email? Write to us from any address and we'll help you prove the account is yours without sharing anything you wrote.

Your data

• See everything we keep: Privacy → Export.
• Turn off one kind of data: Privacy. Turning a switch off deletes what it covered.
• Delete everything: Privacy → Delete my account.
• Your rights: access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to object or withdraw consent at any time. Email us for anything the app doesn't do for you, like correcting something you can't edit, and we'll respond within one month. Details are in the [privacy policy](/privacy).

Your partner

• You choose what your partner sees; see Us and each item's share switch.
• To stop sharing, turn off the switches in Privacy. To end the link itself, email us at [email protected]: we unlink the two accounts, and if you ask we delete what the two of you built together (the shared journal, notes and cards) while each of you keeps everything about yourself. If you need the link ended right now, Privacy → Leave this couple does it immediately, for both of you, and deletes nothing either of you wrote.
• If your partner sends you something that isn't ok, tell us: Settings → **Something your partner sent**. A person reads it, your partner is never told you wrote it, and if you'd like the link ended we'll end it.
• If you feel unsafe with a partner, contact your local emergency services or a domestic-abuse helpline where you live. BrainMatch isn't a crisis service.
